Hi i want to know the cheapest way (free is always better) to install gps on my bb, i dont have the data plan yet, also is there a way to use gps without the data plan, do i have to buy a bluetooth reciever????
Thanks in advance im new to my bb and im still learin how to use it, im in a streachy economical situation so i want to save the more money i can and been able to take advantage off all the features. thanks

There is a piece of software written by a couple of guys on these forums called blackstar that will allow you access to the GPS on your handheld with no data. There is a thread in the GPS forum on it. This will let you see coordinates and speed etc. If you are looking for something with maps and navigation I'd recommend getting a data plan cause the maps suck up lots of kb when downloading (i.e. Google maps or amaze)

If you have a data plan, Google maps will give you an estimated location without using your GPS. If you don't have it enabled.
