Are legacy phones still part of the reduced four phone portfolio? If not, does this mean Blackberry just conceded their strongholds in the developing countries?

They are not part of the prosumer market. This is in line with them leaving the consumer space. Cross platform BBM also fits nicely into this puzzle.

Will they be able to price the Q5 low enough to be competitive in those markets?

They are going to have to cut out legacy or cut out the Q5. Either way it's a disaster for developing markets. Z30 confirmed in portfolio by means or recent announcement. Z10 still in portfolio by means of stating a "reitier" (this implies it will still be for sale). That leaves two spots of the four left. I suspect the Q10 is safe as a prosumer device (lol) . So the 9720 or the Q5 has to go.

Or do they consider the 9900 as part of the current portfolio? It is still sold.

    1.Z10
    2.Q10
    3.Q5
    4.Z30
    5.9720
    6.9900
    7. Do they still sell curves?

I would assume they would continue to sell the same 4 phones, but for less.

It think it's finally EOL for the legacy devices. When you have cut 4500 jobs, it's impossible to keep both a BB10 development group and a legacy OS development group.

Exactly. There is no way that 4500 jobs are redundant.

The same pressures that Legacy Devices experienced in more developed markets are beginning to affect them in these less developed markets... there is a reason that BBOS has seen subscriber losses.
