So there are two major apps out there for android and Ios users that work great in the fire service. Cadpage and Active 911. What they do is take a sms message from CAD (computer aided dispatch) and allow the device to automatically map the address for you. Is there or any know of anything like this for BB? Or anyway that i can do a quick select text in the sms and one button hit to have search maps?

I think something like this is important enough that you might want to make contact about it with RIM directly.

Hopefully they would see it as a type of Public Service.
