My wife had her z10 stolen on our vacation in Ecuador. I was able to PlayBook video call her phone 24e0cb41 and take screen shots of the criminal who is now using the phone. I took the photos to the police but still don't have the phone back.

What is interesting; the phone was wiped with BlackBerry Protect. However, since the phone's PIN is unique and never changes, I can call it at will.

I continue to call on order to get more screen shots of the bad guys and practice my Spanish.

Don't mess with a BlackBerry owner!

I know right? I reverse the camera and align it so that the rear facing camera is pointed at the floor. They avert their faces at first but assume that the phone calling is pointed down so that I cannot see them....and snap!

I'd love to get some crowd sourcing going! If you think you can get a better shot and have a PlayBook ; video call: 24e0cb41 post your photos here!

I believe with BlackBerry Protect you can get the GPS coordinates of the device. Couldn't the police do anything with that?

Because we were on vacation and had no local sim card, the phone did not have access to data. We tried the geo location unsucessfully. Finally we instructed BlackBerry Protect to wipe the phone .

A couple of weeks later I noticed that it was online and tried video calling it.

I would prefer to have an activation lock similar to the one found on iOS7, however, them not wanting it because of relentless video calls from the CrackBerry community is priceless!
