Even if one of these pics is final hardware (we clearly saw two revisions based on the two different backs), the simple fact of the matter is that until there are actually high quality pics of the device you cannot really judge it properly as seen by the changing response to the l-series.

There are probably some territories where "foreign" frequency bands will conflict on technical grounds, or may prevent approval for legal reasons. A classic example which always causes problems would be where the local system uses a reversed frequency shift between transmit and receive, but there will be many other more subtle examples.

The only thing I'm really disappointed in that hasn't been mentioned here is the fact its using a single antenna and will not support simaltaneous Voice and data so looks like we on verizon are in the same boat as the iPhone5 people who weren't happy about not being able to surf and talk. Oh well... Not a deal breaker but disappointing for me. I have gotten used to being able to talk and surf over here in Japan. I also hope that the verizon phone can be unlocked and used over here in Japan.

No, what will not be able to access your LTE network is the NA variant of the device, but that is not an issue since carriers do not actually have LTE roaming agreements in place due to the wide variation in frequencies being used.

Simultaneous voice and (cellular) data is a feature of the network technology, there is no reason a single antenna design would prevent support. Most of the recent 3G phones have been single antenna, and both services work concurrently - except on the obsolete CDMA networks in North America.
