I've seen a number of posts now with mock versions of the slider / Torch BlackBerry and like many, I drool at them.

Which made me wonder which was the more popular version? Bold 9900/Q10 style or Torch / Slider.

I was absolutely in love with the Torch 9800 and if BlackBerry ever does make a slider I'm first in line.

I would also buy it, but the slider was not anywhere near as popular as the Bold.

I live my z10. But miss the 9810 for the keyboard. I couldn't go back to s little screen but would go for a slider in a heartbeat!

I would love to see a BB10 slider in the future. With that said I would hate to see a horizontal one that someone posted as a concept design. I had a Droid 2 and the keyboard was pretty much useless.

I can bet that the Bold 9900/9930 was far more popular than the Torch 9810.

The 9900 was so sexy (always had wanted one), but the 9810 was such a workhorse and it had a large screen+keyboard
Both just had their own place, but I'm guessing that the Bold was way more popular

I agree with the 9810 part, I had one for about 18 months and it was a workhorse for me. I sometimes feel that I should go back to the 9810 just for the heck of it.

I have a 9810 now along with my Q10 and the keyboard on the Torch feels so cramped when compared to either the Q, or my old 9700, or even my Curve 8530. Plus the thickness makes it a little more bulky for not much more screen space.

The issue with a BlackBerry 10 slider would be the same: the larger screen size would make the handset much bulkier than you would ideally want in a daily driver. At least the Z30 has the advantage of being slim: a slider would take up your entire pocket.

Out of the Legacy, the Bold 9900 held a special place in my heart.

If I didn't have the Bold 9900, I would go with the Curve 9360.

I find the Bold experience more immediate and direct, rather than having to slide before I can do anything. Not that it takes more than a second, I'm just picky.

I can definitely understand why the Torch was popular, definitely.

I always thought that the sliding mechanism is something that I could break.

Just my thoughts. I'm sure everyone's will be different.

I love the Bold form factor, and yes that includes having a smaller screen. It just reaches me better than a long screen that "can" have a qwerty.

I had both the 9810 and the 9900, always liked the Bold form factor better. Had the 9810 for a little bit until the 9900 came out on AT&T but like the 9900 a lot more.
