Not totally a joke though, Mr Chen is browsing Crackberry so if a lot of people approve those Q30 mock-ups he may see there's a market for it.
For sure it's the only thing i'd argue against the Q10 some actions on a 3.1" screen are really frustrating (most of all viewing pictures on BBM Channels is really bad!)

Long screen doesnt make sense, device would be too tall and top heavy.
I think the size of the screen on the Q10 is perfect. But what I really miss is the trackpad, and yes I know with the new user interface there is no need for one, but I don't know I just miss it, don't you?

I've gotten used to not having it.
Not a bad design but would have preferred the design in this attachment with a much bigger screen. Another option is to use this same design but to make the base smaller and lighter than the top (screen) for better ergonomics. I am also of the opinion that the video play back should be landscape, considering that the screen is longer compared to the breadth. Also the phone should have an option of landscape view if you wanna play a game or do just anything you want in landscape.

I like the shape of the rendered Q30, but am not sold on the idea of a phablet qwerty. I like the size of the Q10, but like the sharper corners of the image. I also like the silver and black color. Optimize it with a wicked camera, processor, and optimized BB10 (fix email,etc.) and we have ourselves the work horse we come to love about the qwerty line. Oh yeah, also fix the terrible battery door (poor quality, and keeps sliding off) that is currently on the Q10 and we should be golden.
Sorry but this design is a step backward. Looks more of a curve than bold.
