Because Hub integration with third-party apps just isn't quite right. I have that issue with just about every third-party app that uses the Hub from time to time. It's an issue with BlackBerry 10 really. Try rebooting and seeing if it disappears after that.

Download this free app : Accounts Cleaner
    http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59956050

Remove Face10 from Accounts Cleaner app. Reboot.

If this doesn't work, only a reload of your OS or an OS update will fix it.

Try reinstalling Face10. Then under Face10 go to settings then turn off Hub Integration. Then delete the Face10.

I had the same issue with S10 (Slack) too and Smartwatch Companion, both apps were still in Hub after deleting the apps.

It's such a shame that third party hub integration never took off. So much wasted potential with BB10

Hey man, thanks for the reply. I may try to reinstall and uninstall again but I'm concerned that it will create another instance of Face10 in the Hub.

The app is great, don't get me wrong, it's just that I don't use FB more than to receive messages and wish happy birthdays so it's hard to justify migrating over to a new app at this point.

    Keep up the good work!

Just put it under " show in hub only "...at least better than the empty icon after removing any hub integrated 3 rd party apps .

Had the same issue with Twittly, ended up using account cleaner from blackberry world. Then rebooted made them tiles all disappear.
