My guess is XDA wanted to piggy back on an existing QWERTY project instead of developing their own from scratch.
I would have gone to Planet Computers because their Astro Slide project seems to have far more up-to-date specs.
The Pro 1's 835 is gonna be 4 years old when it launches. Sure it's gonna perform better than a Priv lol, and maybe the 835 puts out enough power for the intended use, but people usually don't look at it that way.
Indeed, and something that XDA members want is longevity, this coming with 835 is not looking very promising at all. They are community that knows what they want, and many of them would probably buy this as a hobbyist device, now imagine owning a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, S20 Ultra, ASUS ROG Phone 2 or 3, OnePlus 8 Pro etc.. and then having this old 835 device being put to you as something you should own lol, they’ll be like WTF.
