We all know how awesome and fantastic the whole CrackBerry team is, but here is my account of my first ever encounter with them:

I've been on this site since 2008, but have never met anyone from the forum in person (that I know of at least). I finally was able to go to BlackBerry Live and met the CrackBerry team. At first, I have to admit, I was star struck, since the whole #BBLive experience and seeing the CrackBerry folks in person was just all surreal. I walked up to Kevin, who didn't know me from some random traveling salesman, and just quickly introduced myself. Naturally, we took a photo op; he was super cool, and unbeknownst to me, he was moments away from doing a CrackBerry Live Podcast, but didn't rush me away or anything.

I asked if they had brought any CB Crunk cases to sell, because I wanted to rep the Orange one with my new black Z10. Kevin said, "We really didn't bring any to sell, but I may have some in the hotel room, if you wanna come by later or remind me to bring it tomorrow," to which I replied, "cool, I'll tweet you." Then he said, "I mean, unless you're ok with a used one...in which case you can have the one on my phone," and my jaw dropped. "Yes, please!" I replied. Kevin pulled out his white Z10, took the Orange CB Crunk Case off and gave it to me.........for a BlackBerry, that's analogous to literally "giving the shirt off his back" ! Kevin then informed me that the case is in fact the same case that was used in the Official Review. I was flabbergasted, and couldn't believe the generosity. I went up to Kevin the next morning with a permanent marker and asked him to sign the case, then just held it out the whole day at #BBLive..."to let the ink dry." The orange case definitely caught people's eye.

While this story may seem trivial to some of you, it was a huge moment for me, and absolutely unforgettable. To that effect, thank you very much to CrackBerry for being such an amazing site, to the team for being such cool people, and an extra special thank you to Kevin for being such a genuinely awesome person.

Absolutely true perception. I met part of the CB gang at the NYC meetup and was ultra impressed with how authentic and nice they are- really down to earth.
