I could have told you...I was pissed when i bought the S1 and found youtube video looks terrible. I then asked around (in April) about the issue and found it it is because the source knows you have a BB and therefore sends out a crappy video stream. On my Touch, youtube looks AWESOME.

It is the feed coming from youtube.com. They are sending a really crappy .3gp stream out to the Blackberrys. Worst part is that the storm can handle the same stream that the touch and iphone use but youtube doesn't want to broadcast it to the blackberry platform.
which really bites, because I was hoping multimedia would look as good as on my touch, seeing as the screen (S1 & S2) is more colorful and has better black levels. movies look better on the S1 and S2 than my Touch. not so for youtube. bummer.

It will get better once they come out with their webkit browser that is supposed to be able to handle flash and silverlight. At that time you should be able to watch the vids right on the main website.

Youtube on the iPhone/Touch doesn't look any different than on the Storm. It's hit or miss on both phones. If you have a good feed and a strong signal, wifi or not, you will get a good picture.

With all due respect, you're out of your mind! My daughter has a touch and it renders youtube videos perfectly! When I had my Storm she used to tease me and, quite frankly, it pissed me off! So, trust me, I speak from experience!
