Do any bb gps/nav apps support this? Was amazed to see that Vodafone Sat Nav and BB Maps don't seem to?

You can certainly do it by address, but not lat/long. At least I haven't seen it yet...

You can enter lat/long in Google Maps. No problem.

I believe you can enter lat/long in BlackStar - check the gps subforum.

In BB Maps, open the menu, choose Find Location, then click on Advanced.

In the Address field, enter the coordinates in the form lat,lon

Don't forget the negative sign for west longitude (or south latitude).

Example: 34.123,-110.567

Before they came up with the 'advanced' button, you would have to send yourself an email with a specially crafted URL in it. In turn, the URL would launch BB Maps:

http:// maps.BlackBerry.com?lat=XX.XXXX&lon=-YY.YYYYYY&z=2&label=LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Where
x=latitude
y=longitude
L=your ownshort 'friendly' nickname for the waypoint.

1 second of arc is 1/60 minute of arc
1 minute of arc is 1/60 degree of arc

N25 42’ 40.56”

40.56 sec / 60 sec/min = 0.6760 minutes
Add that to the whole minutes and you get 42.676 minutes.

42.676 minutes / 60 min/deg = 0.7113 deg
Add that to the whole degrees and you get 25.7113 deg

The longitude can be converted by the same calculations.
