    I would believe this was under old management so that pic belonged there. If you read it they used the old company name 'RIM'.

    Executive is a catch-all term in the UK so it's often used to describe people who aren't C-level.

    I don't know what his problem is. I always like it when my Bosses don't talk to me. When your called into the bosses office it's either for a very good reason, or a very bad reason.

    So even though RIM was supportive of him when he had his mental breakdown & offered for him to get his job back whenever he was better, they are the bad guys?

    I'm guessing the award is based on the finding that RIM repeatedly and unfairly refused to consider his request for transfer, while others were being transferred. Incompatible relationships between a boss and subordinate occur in the workplace all the time, it's up to the next level management to address the issue and transferring either is usually an acceptable solution. Why they didn't is anyone's guess.
