I doubt it would certainly convert in such a fashion. Isn't much like when we were paying 0.79 for iTunes and the USA were paying $0.79. Despite the exchange rate?

BlackBerry Z10 priced at 480 unlocked by purported Carphone Warehouse database leak

What do you think? People going to buy off-contract or see for a better deal on contract?
My basic calculation was based on ASP price, witch I was told was around €450 = 383 = $606.
This makes a +/- 25% extra for public price. Sounds quite accurate.

Here, in FRance, we have an operator with a "all inclusive" (unlimited FR calls, data, SMS) for €20. I'd bet a lot will jump on that quite attractive price V.S iPhone.
Nice price, even if I believe it's a little "low" for "premium device". Time will tell.

That includes VAT. The conversion with VAT removed translates into:

    $632 USD & $635 CAD.

With UK prices generally being higher than in North America I can see the Z10 being sub $600.

I'd expect you can knock off about 30% from the UK price to get the US price, since the Brits tend to get screwed by VAT.

Was in with a good friend who works for Carphone Warehouse. Their system shows zero warehouse stock for either the black or white Z10 at present...

As I've said before, I'll go no higher than $549.00.
To me, no phone is worth $750. None.
Agreed. I know that RIM wants to make a healthy margin on hardware sales but they are in a sensitive position. It would not be good for a re-launch/re-brand if they immediately get the reputation of overpriced.

If Blackberry's earlier pricing strategy is anything to go by then, we must accept the fact that they have always followed specific region based pricing. Gadgets have typically always been overpriced in the UK owing to high taxes and customs duty. But a phone contract free for 750 USD seems like a huge barrier to early adopters, considering that no matter how hard RIM markets BB10 the word -of -mouth from early adopters is paramount for success. And RIM's new strategy focuses on developing countries like South Africa and South East Asian countries (India, and so on) where the only way to acquire a phone is contract free as most of the market is pre-paid. I still feel that pricing can only be confirmed post Jan 30.

Some of HTC and Samsung's are priced quite high as well. So it's a normal off-contract price to me. Those saying it's going to be like that on a 1/2/3 year term, aren't doing their research. Just thought i'd put that out there.

i'm afraid that 480 really isn't going to cut it:

Play.com - Buy online at Play.com and read reviews. Free delivery to UK and Europe!

    better still:

    https://play.google.com/store/device..._16gb&hl=en_GB

A 50% plus premium is way too much, particularly if the hardware is going to be a backwards S4 dual core with the old adreno 225 gpu.

your first link says USED - like new, and your second link is a mythical device which virtually nobody on the panet has been able to buy, other than walking into shops and paying the normal price. everyone knows the google play price is too low for any real profit. Phone Product Detail - LG Nexus 4.

I bought my P900 for 500 and it still works. For a truly endurable phone this price is more than justified. And if it as well as you've got the stamina to use it for that long it's a price well paid.
