am running .46 and my email images not loading any way to resolve this issue
First try Battery pull and if that doesn't work go into your email settings and it will say enable HTML email turn it to yes.
Click on menu and then select "get images"
AD thanks that was the next thing!
No probs...we at CB are a team :D
thanks i tried all of the suggestions but still no images maybe its because the area am in i will try again later if that doesnt work i will try reinstalling os .46 again thanks cb team
I have the same problem, if the images are embedded with the email then there is no problem, but if theyre external images then is no, i go to options get images and still no luck, yesterday i made some tests and i have finally found out what the problem is, you see my carrier offers me an "unlimited" data plan but what theyre not telling me is that they dont configure my apn settings, all of my conections go through a blackberry.net server in Canada so yeah i have unlimited browsing email and some apps, but every other app that requieres a tcp connection doesnt work, this is mostly a problem with alot of free im programs, but guess what external images on email DOES require a tcp connection, i know this because last night i configured my apn and started to get images on my mails, the problem is that those thieves i have for carrier do charge me extra if i configure my apn, im extremely mad at this as you can guess mostly because theres nothing i can do to fix this.

Is there a setting somewhere that will automatically "get images" in HTML emails? It's easy enough to click on the menu and tell the BB to get images but it would be even easier if there was an automatic setting. Anyone know if there is an option for this?
Thanks
You have to click on that only once for each sender, then onwards it loads images on its own. So say if you have 50 contacts that email you, you'll have to do it 50 times and that'll be it. Unfortunately, there's no other way.
Thanks PanaSama!
I had upgraded to OS 4.5.0.46 with no problems and everything working but the externally linked images in the html email. I called T-Mobile customer support who forwarded me to RIM Support themselves who also couldn't help. VERY frustrating. After reading your post, I went into Options/Advanced Options/TCP and configured my APN connection for T-Mobile and voila! I get ALL the images--BIG THANKS!
Quick note-I can only only recieve images when using T-Mobile network not my personal wi-fi network/UMA.
No problem im glad it worked for you, i would do the same thing if only my carrier wouldnt charge me extra :(

How do I enable the HTML? I'm running 4.5.18, do I need a newer OS? Is there a new OS that still runs YouTube and won't fry SIM's?
Ok, thanks. I was looking all over for a setting. I have since gotten some more HTML messages from the same senders and I see that they now are rendering the images on their own. Good to know.
Lovitchlove - you called T-mobile! Wow, surprised they helped you since you are running a beta OS!

I know each customer rep is different, but this T-Mobile rep didn't seem bothered by the fact that I had the upgrade. Not only did she try to help, but she then forwarded my call to the actual Research In Motion support line itself who also wasn't deterred by the fact I had 4.5! The customer rep asked where I had downloaded it and seem surprised by the fact that it was all over the web. I figured I would be told to bug off as soon as I mentioned 4.5 to T-Mobile. . .
Go figure.
That is why T-mobile is so cool! Never let you down.
Actually, that tells you that the carriers have people testing and calling support also with the new OS. Good stuff.

B]Update to my previous post[/B]-4 hours after configuring my TCP connection, I can now receive external images in html email over my Wi-Fi connection as well where I was only able to recieve it through a T-Mobile network connection before. My theory of why I had to configure my TCP connection in the first place is that I think my APN address was wiped out when I upgraded to 4.5 and the html email seems to require a TCP connection for full functionality. . .
Woo Hoo!
Are all Tmo users under the same APN settings? Or are they different per account and need to be accessed only by calling Tmo cust service? If they are the same, can you post what the settings are? I see the following...
TCP
APN: (Tmo's website says WAP.VOICESTREAM.COM)
Username for APN: (on Tmo's website, it says to leave it blank)
Password for APN: No word whatsoever on what to use here.
So is it that we should leave it as no password? Or is there a password you have to get from Tmo?
[EDIT] NEVERMIND... I found out. You leave both the Username and password blank. It works! It works!
A little update here:
Someone (im guessing RIM) must have fixed this issue because im now able to view external images on my mails without the apn settings configured. :)
