    i have my blackberry bold 9900 running os 7.1. I would like to set up my university email on the device which ends in @yorku.ca. So i set it up using the "other" option while in the email set up application. As far as I know, the email uses an imap protocol. I am able to send emails no problem, but receiving them is the problem. I sent a few test messages and half an hour later still nothing! Any ideas on how to correct this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Let us know how you make out. I just added my Verizon home internet email using "other" and it works swimmingly. I didn't have to configure anything.

    It now works, although delayed by about 15-20 minutes at a time. I am guessing it is due to the fact that it runs off of the 'imap" settings it checks every 15 minutes for new mail. Luckily I still have my Gmail for true push email.
