Just curious, what is everyone's thoughts on the Email (Outlook, Gmail, etc) they prefer with their Blackberry phone? With the rumblings of Google going through Gmail, not sure if I want to use them!

Outlook and the Web server, GMX, work well for my purposes.

AFAIK Google just generates ads from keywords used in your email. Like if you say that you're excited for school to be done for the summer, you'll get an ad for University of Phoenix (for example) off to the side. If you mention that you have dinner plans with Susie on June 6th, you'll get a prompt asking if you want to add Dinner with Susie, June 6th to your calendar.

That said, I'm using Outlook as my main email now. I hopped on it early enough to score my firstname.lastname email address.

I use Gmail mostly now although I do have a live account that routes mail from another Web provider.

I don't see their ads as I use pop to get my mail I never use their Web interface. In fact I went there only a week back to change some setting and was amazed at how different it looked! Don't know if it's better or worse though i'll leave that decision to use that use it regularly.

The rumblings about Google going through your email is just a scare tactic used by Microsoft. Microsoft scans through every email that goes through their Outlook servers too. If they didn't, their spam filtering would not exist.

I've been using Hotmail since, like, forever and I've always been happy with it. I have to say, though, that I'm really impressed with the moves Microsoft has been making in the past couple of years... everything from SkyDrive to Outlook.com's new and powerful contact and mail management features to the look, layout and ease of use features that even Gmail doesn't even have yet! (Yes, I've used both.)

I started using outlook.com when it first came out. It works well with BlackBerry devices. Prior to that, I just used the pop email provided by my home isp, but that does not offer the calendar and contact sync.

Use and sticking with Gmail for now. If I started over and had not used Gmail everywhere, I would probably use Outlook. I just think Google is getting too powerful.

I had a Microsoft Live account for a long time and started to shift just about everything from Gmail to it just before the shift to Outlook. I really like the Outlook interface much better than Gmail. I still have some emails that come to my Gmail, but my primary account is my Outlook account. Unfortunately, my university uses Google apps so I have to use a Gmail acct. for school.

    Gmail.

Also, does anyone else miss the option to have your device ask you when you delete an email "delete only on device or entirely"? I sometimes want to delete emails on my phone, but want to keep it in my inbox (unread) so I can read it on my laptop. This doesn't seem to be possible with BB10?

I've got Gmail, Yahoo (which I barely use anymore and probably will just phase it out) and Roadrunner.

I've been thinking about getting an outlook account...Any opinions on it?
