I heard that AT&T 3G berries will show new email when you are on the phone.
With my Sprint Berry, I have to wait until I end the call for the email to to show on the devise.

Are their any other carriers, other than AT&T that have that function?

Only through Wi-Fi. But pretty much only 3G does it no matter the carrier.

Any 3G GSM phones will do this or any that are connected via WiFi and Mobile Network at the same time.

3G GSM phones, at least the AT&T ones, allow data and voice to operate at the same time. this is why emails/data sessions will still work while you are talking on the phone. when i had Sprint, i used a Motorola iC902 which was a 3G, EV-DO rev.0 device. it DIDNT allow for data and voice sessions to coexist at the same time. voice always had priority over data. i dont believe EV-DO CDMA devices have the ability to do what AT&T's 3G does. sorry.

sprint blackberry's cant receive email while on call because its a CDMA device.. any GSM at&t , tmobile.. etc. should be able to receive emails/data while on the phone.
