    Tested it again, an both work fine. Albeit if the files are large they take more time, obviously...

    Are you getting an error or something? Let's be specific here...

    no error message I highlight attachment and push track ball and file does not open

    It opens up a menu that gives you options of copy ,reply ,forward reply all ,delete, full menu
