Hey guy's I posted this once before, but hopefully I can get some more input on it. With email on the BB going through just a simple server that uses pop3 and smtp, I was wondering why RIM hasn't made it so you can lets say sort emails youve read into different folders... Like have a sent box a inbox or you can make one thats like Invoices and manually move all emails regarding invoices to that folder...? Any ideas why this was never made or if their is something like this or a way to do it?

But seriously I'm not sure why. You would think RIM would have thought of that already in which case it could have an issue with the device's small memory or what have you. Try giving them a call?

I was thinking the same thing... I wonder why no one has developed a third party application for just sorting email lmao

That's great for BES. I use it. The OP asked about POP3 and SMTP. I don't know of any apps that perform a similar function for POP accounts. IMAP accounts offer some folder functionality.
