EBay is about 250. Honestly if they keep slashing the prices, and more people use it It will be bad for the present but GREAT for the future.

Instead of a z3 they have a z10. They are more likely to be able to buy another later on

This sounds like one of those ironic day one sell out anecdotes that we had during the BB10 launch. (Though at least the article is conservative with its claims suggesting 'over 500 units' sold a day.)

290 USD is hardly "dirt cheap". That is in the price range of a Nexus 4 or a Galaxy S III in the United States. A Lumia 920 can be had for even cheaper. The Z10 is a year old device and many last gen flagships halve in pricing.

That's the most impressive part about the phone. Even after a year and after accumulating so many apps, I don't have tweak or do anything and the phone runs as it was when I got it, only much better with the updates.

My android after a year , I had to do lots of tweaking just to keep the performance to a usable level. I've seen my friends androids too, they don't tweak but the performance of the phone drops bad. Although still have yet to see it in a nexus 5.

Yes, it seems like negative image of brand.
People will not buy z30 for 40 k thinking blackberry will cut prices to 27 k . So it impact on the brand value. People will think that they cut prices regularly and a lot. I mean 40 k then drastically 30 k then 17 k. I bought z10 for 41 k and now its 17 k brand new only 10 months. Come on BlackBerry.

IPhone 4s is still selling at 30000rs or so they are almost 3 year old phones still being sold at a much higher price point. So..... it is definitely taking a bit hit on the brand but hopefully the performance & experience of the OS changes the perception of at least the people who buy it we can hope for that

4s is decent phone but lags like crazy on iOS 7 it's not optimised for the phone at all

She doesn't have med school loans to worry about or any reasonable plan for money. I see some people on crack berry here as well claiming to have ipad and iPhone and 2z10 and 30. And I'm just left wondering.

Also those are the same people that have a hard on for spec. Dodecacore professor, blah blah blah, they don't know why but they upgrade to the newest thing

I play with my wife's G S3 more than she does. And I'd gladly use my iPhone had it not been destroyed. I like having a foot in every pool but as far as upgrading goes, Give android a factory reset or install the latest iOS release. Something like the Lumia 1020's camera would make me upgrade if I were into that kind of thing but that's about the most for me. Like I said, different strokes for different folks. I just like having disposable income for things other than owning hundreds of tiny computers.

On VZW when I was swapping monthly from Android to BlackBerry I had to call customer support to change my data plan. Forgive my ignorance but this is the only thing keeping me from buying one at this point. We'll, that and rent, food etc. Lol

I'd assume if the phone is unlocked and on the same network there shouldn't be a problem. Idk about if it's locked tho I think that might be why.

My phone is branded Verizon, but I use tmobile. Get an unlocked z10 on.ebay for cheap

why would it be bad for the present? the unsold devices have already been written down as a loss. its probably better as sold devices don't take up more inventoy space or have to be further written down
