Hi all, just taken delivery of a nice new Freedom keyring GPS receiver to pair with
my BB for sat nav/logging use. Works a treat!
I've been thinking though how to turn Bluetooth on and off easily
as I won't be using it all the time and would prefer to not go in
to the settings menu each time I need to. Thought about configuring a side
key to do this but that doesn't seem to work. Am sure there's
a simple solution I've yet to find...
Any ideas appreciated.

I use an app called QuickLaunch. It's very popular and I highly recommend it. Among other things, it allows you to create shortcuts that you can access from the home screen or an assigned convenience key. It's $5. NikkiSoft - makers of QuickLaunch BlackBerry Shortcuts and App Launcher
If you don't want to go that route, you could add the Manage Connections icon to your home screen or assign a convenience key to launch manage connections.
Hadn't come across Quicklaunch. Will check them out, thanks.
The manage connections doesn't sound bad either - hadn't thought of that but pretty obvious now.
Obviously I'm having a 'Blackberry moment' - if only there was someway to do a human battery pull sometimes.
Thanks for two good suggestions Capt Giggles. I salute you.
