Yuuuuup. Z10 is awesome. I'm still hoping 10.2.1 rolls out by Christmas. Lol

Sent from the best touch keyboard, the Z.
Late December or sometime in January. Most likely.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in discussing problems which we are experiencing with our phones but only point your fingers at BlackBerry when it is their fault. If it were an official OS update then you can rightfully blame them if you are having issues. Unless I misunderstood you, you were blaming BlackBerry.

By saying the problem is entirely corrected the statement is incorrect. Yes installing a leak it is at own risk, I'm not sure I see your point? Because I installed a leaked OS I'm not allowed to comment that the problem still exists or has returned? If that's the case, then the forums will become very slow.

I'm not blaming anyone. Just pointing out that it's still around. For the Pros of 10.2.1.1055, I'll put up with a random reboot here and there LOL

OK ok ok! I've finally given in. I have installed the latest leak. Now my problem is not with the carrier or blackberry, my bbm won't work. It says, no blackberry data, bbm is unable to connect to the server. Pls try again later. It's like you try to solve one problem and next thing you know, another one is staring right in your face. Now I blame all of you guys that disagreed with me and made me install the leak. Yall better help me fix it before I jump on ya throats. :-|
Device wipe after installing the leak will fix this for you. The problem is you won't be able to restore settings you backed up. If you do restore settings it will break your NOC connection and thus break BBM again.

An alternate method if you HAVE to restore settings is first upgrade to 10.2.0.1791 -- restore settings. Then back up again. Then move to 10.2.1.1055. Then restore settings.

There is something about restoring settings backed up from certain older OS versions into 10.2.1.1055 that causes issues. Restoring settings from a newer leak is less likely to cause an issue from what I have seen.

I don't think they can decide it. They have contracts with carriers. The carriers want to load their specific software in and distribute the OS themselves.

If BlackBerry just started doing this you'd see legal threats from carriers.

yeah wouldn't expect it anytime before q1 of 2014. They still need to finish and decide on a release build then it has to go through carrier resting which takes usually at least a month. (non-US)

What if they provided a full "official leak" with a blind eye to it, once the official software is out. That would solve the problem.

It's kind of like that right now. Use sachsi to download latest official release of OS'S that have been released in Canada with Rogers or Bell the files are out there to DL

I too am more comfortable with official releases, and I have a Mac, which can't be used for installing leaks. I am sick and tired of seeing the wonderful offerings available with OS2, when the entire US market can't get it from their carriers. I know that the fault lies with the carriers. I would LOVE to have OS updates via Link.
