One of the tips for saving battery is to turn off the "Swipe to Wake" feature - I keep it enabled, as I find the battery life acceptable, most of the time. Although, the one or two times a week I see excessive battery drain (due to high app use i.e. screen-on time), I swap out the battery from my charging bundle and I'm good to go fo the rest of the day. Typically I see around 16 hours a day of moderate use, with lots of emails coming through. Though I'm on wi-fi most of the time now. AND I have LTE and BlueTooth enabled all the time.

If you search anywhere online one of their reccomendations is always to turn the "swipe to turn of feature" off. Your screen is always going to be ready for a finger to touch it, meaning its only hibernating not really off. If you turn it off, then the display actually turns off and you can only wake it with a button. Screen is always awaiting input, so yes it is a battery drain.

The battery guru app developer said that it is an extremely minimal drain so you won't see much of a difference by turning it off.

You can test it. Turn it off and see if your battery does better then.

I keep it turned off for two reasons. Battery drain, which like others have said may not be too much, and the main reason, stupid pocket unlocks. I swear my phone unlocks in my pocket every time I have that feature on.
