I dont have a data plan. And was just going to buy Garmin MobileXT. I keep reading about Googlemaps and also free GPS software programs for my 8310 which has GPS built into it. Question is, how do I get Googlemaps on there? The only way to install it is if I download it from my Blackberry.

Has anyone installed Garmin MobileXT on their Blackberry 8310 yet?

I have googlemaps, but I also have an unlimited data plan. According to Garmin's website the application for the blackberry cost $99.

it's not that bad considering it will be cheaper than telenav after 10 months. Plus I used my bro's garminxt on his MotoQ and its pretty good. We used it to go from Cal to Oregon.

yes, but the OP states they DONT have a data plan.

in short, no it wont work. You need the data plan to download the maps as you go. it isnt a prog that loads everything onto your media card. it loads the core program files and what not, but each time you search or view maps or anything it needs to load that data. Sorry.
