Just curious, I never seen people use sleeves or pouches for their phones until I came to Crackberry. Why do you prefer it over a case? Any disadvantages?

Also, do they ever get caught up and/or fold over when you try to remove it from your pockets? You do put it in your pocket right? Or do you just carry it in a bag?

I'm just asking because I've been carrying my Passport naked but figured I should at least get it some protection but I don't want to use a case and am worried that the flip cases will get in the way of my typing (correct me if I'm wrong).

I like the FitBag one on Amazon but just want to get some input to sleeves in general before buying.

Prefer the original BlackBerry OEM pouch. But unfortunately there isn't one available for the Passport. So stuck with the hard shell.

Pouches keep the phone safe and secure. They don't fold they stay robust and do a perfect job. I'd rather use a pouch over the case anytime.

I really liked the pouch for my 9900. Dropped many times. No damage. I found the Z10 pouch too tight, so I went to a case. The funny thing is that with a case, I have seldom dropped my phone and I am more careful. A Passport in a pouch might be kind of difficult to pocket.

I bought two of these on eBay. Close to OEM pouch as your going to get. Fit and finish is nice with the sleep mode. I'm happy with them.

I have cases and sleeves for all of my Blackberrys. But I still prefer to carry them naked.

Not a big fan of the BB Classic pouch for the simple fact I can't put a ultra slim silicon case on the phone AND put it in the pouch. I only use the pouch for when I'm wearing a suit/or slacks, when I need to keep the phone in my pocket. The pouches are the best for pockets..

No, pouches are imho only for carrying and storing. There is no protection for the phone while it's in use, and because I use it often and it's out most of the time, it wouldn't have any protection...

    :-)

Above: genuine flip case with genuine hard shell, using double-sided tape out of foam for cushioning and spacing the camera eye from the outside of the case...

Nothing is better than a naked blackberry. Haha.

Only disadvantage is when I dropped it, I got an annoying scratch on my screen. Use one but I risk my phone with it naked because it's more comfortable.
