Couldn't think of a better way to word it, but do any of you use your RSS feed reader? Not for social media, but I mean for actual websites. Crackberry has a good native app.
But do you use your rss reader for something other than social media? Why or why not?
I know I do. I'm just wondering...

An RSS feed (besides for social media) is a way to get the latest updates to websites you subscribe to. If you add CNN.com to your rss fed list, they will post their articles, and then you can preview them on your RSS feed reader. You can add a lot, and then just scroll through them and if something interests you, then you read it, instead of going to all of the websites to look for new info.
I use BerryReader on my 9900. It is my most used app. I can't live without it.

Oh yeah I do. I have it on my 9900 for CrackBerry Blogs, TechRadar, Business Insider and CNET News. Have to keep up with the newest updates.
I use Bereader a LOT. I also use twitter for news a lot, I've never used any of the social apps like Twitter for social reasons, just don't get into all the trendy social apps but Twitter does make a great rss reader
I do - Crackberry, XKCD, and a couple of other web comics. Also, may be adding my podcast links to it when I upgrade to the Z10 if there's no app to match PodTrapper. (unless I get too bored and write one!)
I use the social feeds app on my 9900. . .it's like a unified inbox for the media, RSS, and social content I care about. . .can even have notifications for just my favorites. . .pretty useful!
I use an RSS reader on all my devices. I prefer to use something that syncs across platforms, so I currently use Google Reader clients. It's the best way I know of to keep up with news from various web sites and blogs. I don't use it for social networks, though. If I want to look at FaceBook or Twitter, I open an app.
I use the social feeds app native to my 9800. Craigslist for items I'm looking for. Some job websites for positions I'm interested in. My wife's blog. I don't twit or FB.
Sure do. BeReader on my Bold, GoReader on the PB, Google Reader on the desktop. Works out flawless

That's the combo I used when I had a Bold. Now I'm using NewsRob on my Samsung Blaze, but the other two are the same. Hoping for a good Google Reader client on BB10.

I add RSS feeds to BlackBerry News Feeds. I live in an area that is know for the amount of snow we receive. So, I've added the RSS feed for road conditions where I live. When the road conditions get updated, it pops up right in my BB News Feeds.
Easily, my two most used apps are Twitter and BlackBerry News Feeds. I hope the BB News Feeds app is available for the Zed10. (Which I hope arrives today....waiting patiently)

exactly. altho the CB app is an RSS reader of sorts for the blogs, but we`ll let that one slide lol :)
I hated using Twitter in place of RSS. I always had to open links in the browser to see aything beyond the article title. I much prefer having the initial image and a couple of lines of the article before deciding if I want to read the rest and load it in the browser. BeReader and GeeReader for the win.
