Does any of you ever have any concern that there might be a security risk with the TCL produced BlackBerry phone?

Will the KEYone be as secure as Priv, the last (and only tbh) fully BlackBerry developed Android phone?

After all these threads, you're asking this? I'll entertain it for now ...

I trust that the people making the decisions know more about phones and security than you do.

Its probably the most "secure" Android phone available to the public. As long as BBRY is responsible for the "special sauce" the TCL partnership should be fine.

This speculation could be valid for every phone, computer, etc. At some point, you decide to use it or you don't.

Are you concerned about TCL manufacturing? Blackberry has had phones manufactured in other places and by other companies?

Blackberry controls the software side of it so I don't think there's a concern at all. Let's be honest, blackberry isn't going to get into an agreement that could impact their credibility in the security market. That would be a company killer.

Correct, my understanding is that the software is signed by Blackberry not TCL.

If "software is the new BB" then I cannot imagine they would do anything to jeopardize that. To the outside, a BlackBerry device is the face of BlackBerry: without the privacy, they don't really have anything.

I feel safer with the certainly than using a Samsung or Huawei.

The devices, indeed, will be signed and authenticated in Waterloo. The words of Steve himself. BlackBerry can't play around with this, seeing as security is their main differentiator. They have too much to lose to lie about this. If you've trusted BlackBerry before, you should be able tot trust them now.
