John chen stated that he is willing to move into other electronic categories. Smartwatch being one of them.
Right now I am on a pebble watch but I would like to wait until there is the BlackBerry watch if there ever will be one.

Don't hold onto hope waiting... it would be a 'BlackBerry branded' smartwatch and that's assuming someone wants to license it. BlackBerry won't be building out their own smartwatch any time soon.
I would love a fitness tracker with heart rate that DOESN'T require the data to be sent to anyone but my phone. Also one that doesn't require location tracking (fitbit) for the app to work.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would prefer to keep my health info private and not for sale.
A partner like TCL would have to make it and since its not a profitable sector for anyone but Apple I doubt we'll see it. I'd bet on another tablet before a smartwatch.
I'd be down to get a tablet, a phone, and a smart watch. Heck if they put out a computer or smart glasses I'd be first online to grab it

Why? So that it's perpetually late, never shows the correct time, and then gets abandoned with no support after a year?
Only if TCL decides to go after the consumer market with the BlackBerry brand. Even then I doubt they would do this no one is making money on smart watches.
