Many people do this when there's no need to have an audible signal.

I do set it to Phone Only at night, and Vibrate in movies, though.

Mine practically never goes off vibrate. Put it on normal when I am at the house, which is almost never.

Since I installed BerryBuzz I do it all the time. Especially when I am in the lab, where I can have my phone sitting on the desk in front of me, but can't have it make ANY noise or it will disturb the participants.

I put it on Silent overnight and when i wake up in the morning usually forget to put it back to audible then I finally look at the [email protected] LED and see I missed all these calls, bbms etc.

Only at work - and it sits in a cup in front of me so I can see the LED. Once quitting time comes around it is back to NORMAL and PHONE ONLY when I go to bed...

I do during work, as I am in and out of meetings with customers/clients constantly. Too many times I have forgot to go silent and next thing I know I am giving a presentation and my phone is going off across the room.

Vibrate at work, phone only when I sleep and normal any other time. I almost never use silent.

Mostly when I'm around my house. Other than that, it's usually on vibrate or on one of my custom profiles.

Lol sorry about my first post, what I meant to ask was, does anyone do this as a full time thing? And only and always rely on the LED even in a situation where it would be acceptable to have your sound on.

Mine is always on silent. Never loud, never on vibrate, always silent. I do miss a bunch of calls, then again I'm not that important so it doesn't matter. I rely on led light completely.

i keep it on silent when i'm at work, church, or sleeping. other then that, i keep on phone only, with a minor change. i changed my PIN and BBM to a Tone because my girl has a blackberry and we only talk through BBM when we're not together.

Since mine is paid for by work and I am on call 24/7, mine stays on loud profile unless I am in a meeting. Then it's on vibrate and immediately at the end of the meeting goes back on loud. Even at home in the middle of the night, I have to answer the dang thing so it stays on my bedside table. Pisses my wife off as much as it does me, but it is a requirement of my job. ( and yeah, the dang thing has gone off a lot at all hours of the night)
