i figured it out and the speeddial still does work!
Now that you've turned that off, you have many home screen shortcut options to use.
M- messages
B - browser
L - Calender
F - Profiles
Q - vibrate mode
A - address book
O - options
U - calculator
There are others, and not all shortcuts work on every berry/os, but try them all and you'll soon come to depend on several/many of these.
I tested a few. Thanks!
:)
I don't like the tradeoff. I make many more calls than I need to access my calculator.
Seems like a lot of work to justify one-button access to features that you don't necessarily constantly use.
I tried it. Immediately went back to home screen dialing.
I personally love it, but to each his own, haha. I don't make a lot of phone calls (I hate talking on the phone!) but I use the features of a BlackBerry more than anything else, so it makes sense for me to have dial from home screen turned off. Everybody's experience with their BlackBerry differs.
To me, it makes sense to have access to all of those shortcuts and have to make one extra click to get to the phone. The green phone key or P will take you to the phone. I use M, B, A, U and O multiple times every day, so it makes sense for me.
Yeah. I personally love it already...
i do childcare from my home so multiple times a toddler sneaks my berry and is dialing someone that i never knew... (the few times its out of my sight), so even saving that is worth it to me.
