Since switching from my 9800(from my I know, that was running BIS) to the Z10 my data has exploded. I got charged crazy amounts in February and switched my plan and now it looks like I'm going to have to switch my plan again. Is one of the reasons for this happening because I am no longer using BIS, so therefore no more data compression?
If that is the case, that is what brings me to BES. I'm assuming this compresses data as well, so wouldn't it make it cheaper for a company to start running BES on all of there phones instead of allowing BYOD and getting much larger data bills? Or can iOS and Android run on BES as well?
Can anyone tell if I am missing something here? Thanks

Yes, No BIS or BES mean no data compression for BB10 devices and Playbooks.

You will have Data compression on BES 10.

iOS devices will get compression for email/pim/attachment if on ActiveSync 12.1
Blackberry 10 devices have compression on email / pim/ attachment AND Enterprise apps and work browser only

See BlackBerry 10 Data Compression Compared to iOS and Android - N4BB

Also, you may want to read point 3 on page 8 of this PDF http://us.blackberry.com/content/dam...ice_10_FAQ.pdf
