Has anyone actually taken a storm a part and seen the hardware enought to really know if it has it or not? and also will a 9520 work aswell as a 9530 for verizon or will the 9520 work with verizon at all?
There is no wifi in the storm but you are correct that the 9520 does have wifi. I believe that the 9520 will not work on Verizon, I don't think that Rogers is a CDMA but I am not sure about that.
The storm is perfectly capable unfortunately Verizon
has disabled WiFi on almost all of their devices with
the exception of the New Omnia by Samsung and the i760.

So how about the HTC Touch Pro?
And the XV6800?
And the Samsung Saga?
Can you point out a single CDMA Blackberry that is currently on the market with Wi-Fi?
VZWTechSupport so you're sayin wifi is just disabled? There are many people claiming its just disabled has anyone checked out ctinyc.com and seen the features on the unlocked 9530?*
Verizon wants you to use their network so if they have any say in it they will not have wifi included. With the reliability of it, you don't need it (atleast where I live/work you don't), I only started using wifi when I got a iPhone becuase of AT&T's spotty coverage. If you live in a strong Verizon area like the DC Metro area, wifi is not needed.

I dont see how this matters, as a Data Plan is mandatory now. So people can use wifi all they want, there still paying their data charges. And yes I live in a great covered 3g area for Verizon. I'd be hard pressed to find no service here. However, it would be nice in certain buildings or basements were I get service but a poor data connection.
Exactly my point I don't get the best speed everywhere and when I go visit my friend my internet speed seems like dialup removing wifi was just dumb I was really hoping the 9520 would work on Verizon

I am not willing to spend that much money on a phone to find out that it was a typo on their part. I believe that the first CDMA berry at this point that will have Wi-Fi will be the CDMA Bold.
