    I have a Bold 9650/6.0.0.524 from Verizon - it's a few months old - but a replacement that they have sent...

    And all of a sudden today the speaker stopped producing sounds ((

    I can't hear anything when I activate a speaker during a call
    I can't hear anything when playing a song or a video...

    I need to use the "handset" to hear anything (or use headphones)

    so sad

    any ideas?

    I'll call Verizon - but this is disappointing...

    Did you try the obviously necessary Battery pull?

    Sometimes, a reboot will just restore the speaker to normal.

    did you try smacking the phone against your palm? not the smartest idea at all but one day i was in the bathroom and i dropped my phone as i washing my hands and i was listening to music, well once my phone hit the floor the music just stopped out of angry i shook my phone and the music stopped then played then stopped playing. well i smacked my phone against my palm and the music started to play and i havent had a problem since.

    I didn't even drop it or anything...

    obviously I've rebooted... and gave up with the reboots

    but strangely it started working again today after yet another unrelated reboot!
