Do you dial your phone one-handed or with both? Just curious. I would like to be able to dial with one hand, but I'm so much faster with both.

I use one hand on my S2 since the phone application does not rotate into landscape mode.

Usually one handed, but sometimes both - like if I'm dialing a number w/ letters in it.

Normally both. I just find it faster and more efficient.

Also, added a poll for you

Dialing = one hand. Typing = two hands, unless I'm driving (lol).

No, just joking. I only type at lights. If I'm on the freeway and someone sends me a message, I have a couple autotexts established to say I'll get back to them as soon as I can.

It's 10 numbers, how fast does it need to be? Stupid poll.

In an emergency, you need to dial 9-1-1 as fast as you can.

Both hands when I can, unless I have my other hand occupied as typing speed will suffer with just one of my hand haa.

Most everyone i call is either in the recent calls, or on a speed dial. So i just go one handed.

Thanks, everybody, for participating. (And thanks, a-g, for setting up the poll for me.) I'm experimenting with dial from home screen (as opposed to the keyboard shortcuts I've always like to use), and I still haven't decided which way is more efficient. Just as someone else already said, I have a speed dial entry set up for most of the people I call. And as another poster replied, I find that I'm using one hand to dial if it's just a number and both hands if it's a name. For example, dialing "Peter" with one hand would require stretching across the entire keyboard.

@RegE When you're driving you're NOT typing, right?
No, just joking. I only type at lights.
So you DO "type" while driving. Being stopped at a light is only done while driving. Texting while stopped at a light is texting while driving. If I ever get hit by someone who's texting and driving, I'm taking them to the cleaner. Same thing goes for my wife.
Since I retired, I don't need to go to the cleaners anymore ...but thanks for the offer.

P.S. I'll try not to hit you while I'm STOPPED at a light.

    Actually, no.

The ofence is not texting while driving, but texting while operating a motor vehicule. Even when at a red light, you are operating a motor vehicule.

Actually, yes. There was no mention of 'operating a vehicle'. They are 2 different statements. You can still operate a motor vehicle and be completely stationary, in which is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to CAUSE an accident while sitting at a red light.

And complaining about texting and driving is stupid... You can get hit by someone that wasn't texting and is just a bad driver... Don't drive if you're that scared.
