No dates or firm details but while speaking to someone at BlackBerry today I asked if they had seen the Z3 yet. They said no but that it would be coming to North America and that there was both a high end keyboard phone and a high end touch.

What I am not sure of is if the touch will be 5" or larger or more if a 4.4-4.6" Z10 replacement. The reason I say this is I was not asking them to get into specifics but when I was commenting that the Z30 I switched to yesterday seems a little too big for me and that they need something between it and the Z10 in size this is when they confirmed to me a high end touch would be coming out.

I agree. I love my Z10 but when it's time to get a new phone I want a Z10 upgrade. The Z30 is fine but it isn't an upgrade to the Z10 in my opinion. It's a different line.

Agreed....loving the screen on this Z30 I switched to yesterday but not sure if I will not be switching back to my Z10. I can't balance this phone in one hand and reach everything with my thumb while driving, listening to the radio and drinking a coffee. The screen is too large for my hands except for when I can use both to type.

I love the Z30 but the idea of a bigger Z10 with this battery life is very appealing, specially because the Z10 screen is so much better. About size I think BlackBerry should cover all bases, 4'5"-.7" and a bigger Z30 too.

Is it actually the screen of the device that is too big? Or it is the overall size of the phone? There is a lot of room on the bezels that could be shrunken down but still allowing for a 5" screen.

A bit of both. I can usually balance my Z10 and reach every with my thumb....not that easy on the Z30.

So....larger screen than Z10 but a little lighter and a little smaller than the Z30 but with an even bigger battery and not that I care but some of you will 1080P screen!

The people with the knowledge, know not to talk to anyone about what is going on at BlackBerry.

There have been many cases of a friend who works at BlackBerry said.... and it never happened.

Plus, I doubt Chen knows... If the Z3 flops, he is going to have to really consider their future direction.

That has very little to do with having a road map. It might change but there's no way they are just going to wait and see what happens with the Z3.

Don't know why you want a improved Z30? Does it lag? No. Doesn't need a faster processor. Does it freeze? No. Doesn't need more RAM. Is the sound quality great. Yup. Doesn't need new speakers. Is the screen clear and you can't see pixels. Yes. Doesn't need a better screen. So how can they make a much improved Z30?

Your out of touch with the high end market. When released both the Z10 and Z30 were behind the tech standard. Dual core, not quad. Low res screen. Low res camera etc.

Both need improvements.

Also the Z10 is out selling both the Q10 and Z30.

But blackberry is obviously not going to cover everything.

I think a high end touch with a screen between the z10 and z30 size would be the best bet for them. But with the screen resolution of the z10 or better
