Install Desktop Manager (DM), and that should take care of it...
DM doesn't install correctly on my system. I'm running vista and 4.2.2 and it won't work right. Does bb have device drivers available alone?
It does work, I have it on mine (Windows Vista and DM 4.2.2 SP2). Uninstall DM, if you have it showing in Control Panel / Programs & Features. You might have to check the registry in cases there are traces of it. Then reinstall. Also, try reintalling from the CD rather than a download...
Also, if you're getting an error, post it...
I have a sprint 8830 and have been able to load the DM as well as connect the Bluetooth from my Dell 1210 to my BB. When either I take the phone away from the computer it does not reconnent unless i restart the computer. When i do restart is starts looking for the device driver for the phone and never finds it. Is there something that i need to do? I am running Version 4.2.2.12 DM. Thanks
It doesn't work! There is no error messages ... it doesn't connect properly and if it does it does not find any applications on the phone. I've installed the software on an XP laptop and it works fine. So it does NOT work right with Vista.
Also having problems with the 8830 and Vista. Installed and uninstalled, downloaded from disc and web. Still get error messages ... unable to write or update application data ... any ideas?

I have an issue with my curve that is almost the same as yours, with the Dm installed i can see my blackberry but not the memory card I can then place stuff onto the device memory ...which fills up with 2 songs, although any other vista system I have tried finds the device prior to installing the DM and sees it as a mass storage device allowing data transfer to the memory card. After uninstalling all drivers and the desktop manager and having no success I resorted to reinstall Vista, I still have the same problem, I can only assume it is my pc hardware that is causing vista to not see the Blackberrys microsd card.
Vista comes up with an error saying "RIM mass storage device drivers can not be found."
I’m having the same issue; it won’t connect to my 8310 with vista on a Dell??
