    BB Storm--

    Greetings,

We lost a hard drive on one of our XP PCs. I'm in process of reinstalling the BB Desktop v 5.0. On on 2nd attempt to get it to work it will not accept the PIN #.
I deleted the RIM directory and started over. I got to where it asks for device/PIN to connect to but the field is empty; and, it will not allow me to add PIN manually.
I've disconnected from USB and reconnect but not joy.

Good 'ol Verizon was useless on this issue.
I'm Hopeful that one of you guys can help.

    Regards,

This isn't a Verizon issue, so that's why they can't help.

Try uninstalling DM and reinstalling. If that fails, uninstall it and get a previous version and give it a try.

XP device mgr could not find hardware.

I went into registry and blew out all RIM/Blackberry entries.
Pulled battery and plugged in USB cable.
    Voila!

    It is now loading.

    Twisted bit somewhere.
