Hi I am new to Blackberry having got a 7230 to play with initialy to see if the facility is useful to me. Unfortunatly, my BB wont cannect I have loaded the latest Blackberry Desktop from the BBsite but I just get a message Desktopmgr.exe - Entry Point could not be found
Forgive me if this is a basic error on my part.
Also, do you need to have a sim with a "Data Packet " attached to use the 7230 as a basic phone?
Thats quite an elderly model, so I'm not sure I can help you much. On the RIM site where you got Desktop manager, try installing an old version like 3.6 or 4.0. The newest version may not support your device. As for the SIM question, you don't have to have data. However with out it you're just carrying around a big old disabled phone.
you may need to redownload the desktop manager and reinstall it. if that doesnt work, let us know which version of desktop manager you're using before we can proceed further.
