Seems like it wouldn't be all that hard to create a BlackBerry model that included the following options:

    Physical keyboard yes/no.
Variable screen size ranging from Q10 to Z10 to Z30.
    Slider mechanism yes/no.

Imagine an online purchase process similar to buying a Dell or Lenovo computer. Once you figure out the basics, you
are presented with a variety of options for memory and maybe even processors. Then apps that you'd like to have pre-loaded
on the phone, and finally any accessories you want.

Phones are more expensive than many desktops now, and even more expensive than some laptops. Aside from size, they
are basically mini computers that just also allow us to make calls on them. BlackBerry has the advantage of offering a variety
of form factors that would suit this approach.

To me, this would make sense even more, since mobile service providers seem to be pulling BlackBerries from their shelves.

Motorola got brick concept you can patch fit if you want. However, there are draw back, such as speed. Do a search on such approach and it's limitations, all published in some tech magazines.

Good idea, but "bespoke" programs are very expensive for manufacturers. They would need large quantities of orders to counteract the expense which is unlikely to happen soon. In the future, awesome idea, though!

Q/9900 keyboard with slider and touch screen of min 4.5". Perks of the same specs of a high end android quad core chip with quad core gpu would be nice with a snapdragon 800. Battery no less than 2500mah.

A side slider like the LG Apex would be nice. Soft round corners, 3.7" to 4.2" screen, optical track pad / button on the keypad, and BlackBerry 10 would rock.

The Apex has physical phone buttons, but I would personally trade them for a larger screen.

Magnificently composed using CB10 on my BB Z10!
