no because the cheap androids besides the nexus line run on old dated versions of android ones that are still a bit buggy, only modern high end droids run jellybean so whats the difference between a low end android and a BBO7 9900 that offers everythign you need and the buugs have been worked out not just an OS update that will never come to that device.

when it comes to the low end a 9900 really can't be beat for those looking for a low cost communicator and has more to offer then low end androids

Don't get ahead of yourself. The market for $500+ smart phones is about 8 million people in India.

That and people in that income bracket are less likely to have the same attachment to BB as would someone who benefited from low cost BBM plans in legacy BB devices. Those plans were the glue that built the consumer BB market in developing countries, but high income groups aren't likely to have used them in the first place.
