I'm really getting tired of the list of new apps being 100 useless apps from one app developer offering to sell you a city map, or the pretend help apps. Maybe some people benefit from this but for me it is at the point of making using App world unusable.

This problem could be solved by allowing individual users go block all apps from developers of their choice. While I'm sure the parasites would try change their names but at least we would be able to cut some of the spam down.

Let us click on a developer and block them.

98 % of Android apps are spam what do you propose that Android blocks them as well?

i don't think the app stores bother to check out any of the apps or developers anymore.

I'm not suggesting that Blackberry check and/or block apps. I'm just suggesting they let each of us block (or hide) those developers we choose. For example I would block easynavigation inc, Mad Map and PocketGlobe company ( probably all the same person anyway ) who account the first 20 or so new apps in the list.

It would not take long to get remove most on the spam that way

There's probably only like one person from BlackBerry working on BlackBerry App World now. And probably only part time. I agree though. They really need to cut the spam crap maps and radio apps. It makes it hard to find the few decent native apps that come out each week.
