Hello,

Is there a way to change how blackberry assings names to the pictures? I find it very annoying to have a long name with the time and date of the image taken!
Nokia for example would go by numbers: image001 002 etc...

Any help? Much appreciated!

Just renaming the pics by going to media>pics>my pics>media card>selecting your pic>menu>rename. Other than that I'm not sure of any other way...

You should be able to rename each picture as you take it. Just look for the file folder on the screen, it's in the center on my Pearl.

I should have mentioned: I'd like to have it auto-named to image001 instead of the default date...

I caught that, but there's no option. You can do what I do and set up a misc. folder, then use that as your default. Then you don't have to muck around renaming every picture as you take it. Just connect to your computer rename and move. Also, if I'm going to take a series of pics, I set up a seperate folder, change the default, then switch it back to misc. when I'm done.
Just my 2cents that work for me.
