    Hello community,

how are the DOBs from the contacts shown in (any) calendar?
Before using this amazing Z30, I used several BBs (e.g. Bold 9900) and there the DOBs where shown.
    I will appreciate any answer.

    Regards, ggvomsee

They don't show in my calendar at all. I have no idea. Never saw the birthdays in my calendar.

Are you getting the year too or just month and day? If it is just the month and day, it is being fed via one of your social feeds, such as facebook.

    Hi jaydee and robsteeve,

    thanks for your replies.
Once more: I am absolutley sure that fully
(no chance to put in only day and month by (also former BlackBerrys)), DOBs, in Germany formatted 'dd.mm.yyyy, were shown in my calendar. Also the entries via BBM calendar. Any new idea?

If they are not coming from FaceBook, would they be coming from where you sync your contacts from, such as an email account? If the birth days are accurate, the phone must be getting them from some data source that your phone is synced to.

I may have been wrong about year showing as I see it shows the year for some Facebook contacts. I don't have a lot contacts to check, but in one case, it is the proper year, in the other it is 00. It may depend on whether the contact makes their age visible on FaceBook, rather than just the birthday.

Wow, up to now I never noticed, that the birthdays are not synced with the calender. This would be one of the first things I would connect together, when I'd be in place to code such things...

Did you take a look in BB Beta Zone if someone made a request on this feature?

Okay, I took a look by myself. It is on the Feature Request List in the Global Blackberry Community Program. So everybody, please vote a "like" on this one

There is no DOB in the calendar, but you have it in contacts, you have to lower the keyboard and add a new field.
