Hi,
I am using a Verizon Unlocked BB 9530.
I used the BIS services in the phone successfully in Airtel Network (India). Today I shifted the operator from Airtel to Vodafone India using Mobile Number Portability.

I send the BIS activation SMS to vodafone IN & I get the reply- service was activated. But in my phone still it is showing "edge" but not "EDGE". Also my Browser icon gone after changing the sim card.

I went to Options ---> Adv--> Host Routing table--->Register. It is saying Registration Message Sent. The Host routing table is empty.

How can I solve the issue & get the data services on my Vodafone IN.?
Presently I am using Voice & SMS services successfully on the phone after shifting the n/w but not Data services.

You are going to need the correct service books

Do you have a blackberry specific data plan / a BIS account with your new carrier ?

Your old BIS account will not work with the new carrier...

Hi,
You can contact your carrier (Vodafone IN) and ask them about using Blackberry data plan.
Try to ask them for sending you a new service book, good luck.
