    Hey

I'm new to the BB phones and when I have Data Services set to On do I get charged by my provider to access my home and college wifi?

I'm guessing not as long as I have it set to hotspot browser. Is this also true if I use wifi hotspots like Starbucks and McDonald, so i can connect for free and brows for free without being charged by my service provider?

    Thanks

That is correct, the Hotspot Browser is uses the Wifi network, totally bypassing your carrier.

You do need to be aware, this only applies to the Hotspot Browser. Any third party applications will continue to use your carriers data unless you have UMA enabled as well.
