Is there any way to do this?

I hate how you can have a dark theme and then you want to post a thread and it's bam! Flash of light in your eyes

    Same with the hub

The Hub/Emails really need to have dark theme.
And also, they need to change the top blue banner in the Hub to black while they're at it.

I'm so tired of hearing everyone on here complain about not getting a black hub. Does no one understand the reason why it's close to impossible and most likely never to come? The norm for email is a white background with black text. Can anyone guess what happens when you have a black background? Yes, black text on a black background. And even if BlackBerry inverted the text to white, it still wouldn't help because what if someone sent in colorized font? As a result of that change, what if a sender sends in font that's white, then what? How would you be able to distinguish the true color it was sent in considering the inversion? Or what if you needed to change your font to a dark color? How would you be able to read it? The industry is currently on black text with white backgrounds, and it doesn't seem like it will be changing. It's an issue of legibility and cohesiveness with the industry.

Agree! Am so bored if people going on about their dark theme! Seriously who cares?

Unless they are all vampires! Maybe that's why they want a dark theme.....

They're not, they're complaining about WHITE hub.

Close to impossible?! Are you being serious? It's close to impossible to invert the background from white to black? Funny how they have already done it for BBM, text messages, calendar and contacts. BlackBerry must be experts at achieving things that are close to impossible!

The norm for email is a white background with black text. Can anyone guess what happens when you have a black background? Yes, black text on a black background.
Do you honestly believe that people are suggesting you only change the background colour to black and leave the text black too? Are you that literal in your interpretations of what you read?! Of course the text should also be inverted, just as it is in the apps that support 'dark theme', how else would you see anything?!

And even if BlackBerry inverted the text to white,
You mean even if they did what's 'close to impossible'?

It still wouldn't help because what if someone sent in colorized font? As a result of that change, what if a sender sends in font that's white, then what? Coloured text in HTML emails is achieved by the client rendering the page to look how the HTML describes it. Most HTML emails with lots of colour and graphics going on will specify a background colour anyway thus eliminating the issue but, if one didn't, all BlackBerry would have to do is change how it displays the colours described in the HTML so that if it knows it's going to be too close to black to be readable it lightens it or inverts it. It can all be sorted out in software.

The industry is currently on black text with white backgrounds, and it doesn't seem like it will be changing. It's an issue of legibility and cohesiveness with the industry.

As a Microsoft Exchange admin and a BES Admin I can assure you there is no such industry standard whatsoever. You are probably too young to remember when computer terminals were 'green screen', green text on a BLACK background, and yet millions of people around the world were able to manage their email just fine.

You maybe aren't aware either than today's mail clients such as Microsoft Outlook allow you change the default white background to ANY colour you like!
