As luck would have it, I received my custom ColorWare Z10 today just as the ColorWare contest gets underway. I'm very impressed with the quality of their work. I had this Z10 painted in "Caution" for both the frame and back door with a matte finish to reduce visible fingerprints, scuff marks, and also keep the focus on the shiny black screen. If you have any tricked out BlackBerry 10 devices, post your pics!

Although yellow is one of my least favorite colors I have to say that looks pretty damn good. Thanks for sharing that.
How long did they have your phone for?

They had it for about two weeks total. You could likely shorten that by four days by using overnight shipping, which I recall wasn't that much extra, but I wasn't in a rush since this wasn't my primary Z10. I think that even if there isn't a huge line, they still need time to disassemble it, prep it, paint it over several days in multiple coats is my guess. It's a quality paint job for sure.

They also paint a raised "COLORWARE" lettering at the base of the Z10 in a silver colored font. You can just barely see it in the first posted pic. Very tastefully done.

Looks fantastic. Please give a pic of the door - would be interesting to to know how they did that. Also, since the door is flexible, I wonder how the paint reacts to that?

They painted over a black rubber door in this case, and the paint itself seems pliable.The door paint doesn't appear to show any signs of stress when it's removed, although I'm careful not to bend it very much in the process.

In the hand the matte finish feels as if a piece of paper has been applied to the back and sounds similar to paper as well if you slide your fingers on it. The door is not quite as slippery as the white plastic Z10 door, but not nearly as grippy as the black rubber Z10 door.
