    I am new user and have 8320 curve
    i can log on to lan
    But i can not seem to do anything with the LAN
    how do I see another device on lan
    or go to router
    or see a cam that may be on a 192.168.- .- adress
    or how do I use the internet connection on the LAN

    I guess the 1st ? should be can B-berry do this .
    or is there another phone that can
    yup I am trying to leave my laptop in truck when working on LANs

    Unfortunatly, it will not do any of the things you are asking. Wifi is built into the BlackBerry to support Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA). It can also be used with the Hotspot Browser.

    It can not see network shares. That is a job for third party developers.

    If the cam has it's own web server (like WebcamXp for windows) wouldn't you just be able to go to that address via the BB browser like any other webpage ?
