    I understand I can use 4gig flash memory in my new 8330 from VZW, but is the phone compatable with SDHC cards or just the SD cards or both?

    Welcome to CB StoryTaylor!

    I also have the 8330 and have used both SD and SDHC cards in my device. My first one was a 2GB SD, my current one is an 8GB SDHC. So either one should work.

    The use of a MicroSD card is independent of your carrier. The only other factor would be the version of your operating system. 4.5+ supports larger capacities than earlier versions.

    Not exactly. 4.2.2.196, 4.3 and 4.5 (below .81) all support up to 8gb's

    AG, you are correct about 8GB. However, I was exactly correct that you needed 4.5+ for larger capacities:

    BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2 GB
    BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4 GB
    BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4 GB
    BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8 GB
    BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 Up to 8 GB
    BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and above Up to 16 GB
    BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 Up to 16 GB
